John Huff, the designer of the Floating Bed think:
“What would the ideal bed look like, feel like, and what benefits would it provide?” What features would make everyone really LOVE their bed?”
After thinking the special relaxation of a gentle rocking movement that has been proven in a scientific manner as useful to us, but ruling out the back bending, and unstable, poor way out that is the sack, the waterbed and the four point dangling bed–all of which Huff view as
“simply not that good to sleep on, because their motion is all wrong”
–the designer come to realize that the key to the ideal bed was the Omni-Pendulum or “Floating” Motion.
Even if this drifting bed is in an aesthetic manner kind of cool, it was not intended only for its images, as it’s form came from its role; A one-point overhead suspension give smooth movement, the flat net under-support has firmness that is capable of being adjusted, and the height is also adjustable with ease.
With the choice of an indoor or an outdoor swinging bed, it’s not just a site to sleep, but a fun area to chill out and talk with friends or the kids, to relax peacefully with a good book, or to stare at the scenery with a reviving juice in our hand.
